Some further tips below: 

Do not cut out the edge of the old panel too much at first. You can always adjust the shape and size later.

Mounting the replacement panel from the "top" will be much easier than mounting it from the bottom.

The hardware including nut, screw, and bracket for tyre, have been fixed on the panel. You can simply fix your tyre by using the attached hardware.
